Síndromes de desmielinização isolada do sistema nervoso central (também conhecida como síndrome clínica isolada (SCI)) é o primeiro evento clínico desmielinizante inflamatório do sistema nervoso central, com duração acima de 24 horas. SCI é atualmente reconhecida como o primeiro evento clínico de uma doença que apresenta características de desmielinização inflamatória que podem ser esclerose múltipla (EM), porém ainda não preenchem critérios de disseminação no tempo.
