Alta estatura (familiar) constitucional, uma variante do padrão normal de crescimento e desenvolvimento infantil, é definida como uma condição na qual a altura de um indivíduo é mais de 2 DP acima da altura média correspondente para um indivíduo normal da mesma idade e gênero. As características distintivas são uma história familiar de alta estatura e ausência de dimorfismo ou outras características clínicas que sugerem causas patológicas de crescimento anormalmente rápido.

Distinguishing features are a family history of tall stature and lack of dimorphism or other clinical features suggesting pathologic causes of abnormally rapid growth.
