Condição causada por determinantes que surgem após o nascimento, no período neonatal. Essa condição é causada por defeitos nos grânulos alfa das plaquetas, levando a anormalidades nos mecanismos de coagulação. Pode apresentar-se com sangramento prolongado, epistaxe, menorragia, equimoses fáceis, anemia, fadiga e fôlego curto. A confirmação é feita pela identificação de defeitos plaquetários em amostra de sangue.

This condition is characterised by defects in the alpha granules in platelets leading to abnormalities in coagulation mechanisms. This condition may present with prolonged bleeding, epistaxis, menorrhagia, easy bruising, anaemia, fatigue or shortness of breath. Confirmation is by identification of platelet defects in a blood sample.
