Tumor maligno que surge das células endoteliais dos vasos sanguíneos. Microscopicamente, é caracterizado por canais de ramificação e anastomoses vasculares freqüentemente abertos. As células malignas que revestem os canais vasculares são fusiformes ou epitelioides e frequentemente exibem núcleos hipercromáticos. Os angiossarcomas ocorrem mais frequentemente na pele e na mama. Pacientes com linfedema de longa duração apresentam risco aumentado de desenvolver angiossarcoma. | |||

A malignant tumour arising from the endothelial cells of the blood vessels. Microscopically, it is characterised by frequently open vascular anastomosing and branching channels. The malignant cells that line the vascular channels are spindle or epithelioid and often display hyperchromatic nuclei. Angiosarcomas most frequently occur in the skin and breast. Patients with long-standing lymphoedema are at increased risk of developing angiosarcoma. | |||

A malignant tumour arising from the endothelial cells of the blood vessels. Microscopically, it is characterised by frequently open vascular anastomosing and branching channels. The malignant cells that line the vascular channels are spindle or epithelioid and often display hyperchromatic nuclei. Angiosarcomas most frequently occur in the skin and breast.
