Esta doença é caracterizada por lesões (mancha branca com um ponto preto no meio), inflamação da pele ou prurido ao redor da lesão. Também pode ser assintomática. A transmissão ocorre pela picada de uma pulga infectada ou pelo contato direto com um animal infectado. A confirmação é feita pela identificação de Tunga penetrans ou histórico de viagens. | |||
