A coriorretinite ou toxoplasmose ocular é uma manifestação relativamente comum da infecção por T. gondii. A toxoplasmose ocular ocorre quando cistos depositados na retina ou próximos a ela se tornam ativos, produzindo taquizoítos. A retinite necrosante focal é a lesão característica, mas cicatrizes retinianas de reativação prévia estão tipicamente presentes.
