Basidiobolomicose é caracterizada por um edema subcutâneo de propagação lenta, indolor, sem cacifo e sem outros sinais clínicos óbvios. Pode ser único ou podem existir múltiplas lesões satélites. As massas em forma de disco têm uma consistência dura uniforme. Geralmente envolve os membros ou as áreas de cintura-membro, e a infecção é mais freqüentemente observada em crianças.
