Doença do cérebro, causada por uma infecção pelo vírus da encefalite Murray Valley. Esta doença é caracterizada por febre, dor de cabeça, náuseas, vômitos, cansaço, ou pode ser assintomática. Os casos graves podem se manifestar com confusão, fadiga, falta de coordenação ou encefalite. A transmissão ocorre por meio da picada de um mosquito infectado. A confirmação é feita pela detecção de anticorpos anti-encefalite Murray Valley em uma amostra de soro. | |||
