Doença causada por uma infecção pela bactéria gram-negativa Pasteurella. Esta doença é caracterizada por celulite local e pode levar a outros sinais clínicos dependendo da via de infecção. A transmissão ocorre comumente por contato direto através da mordida, arranhão ou lambida de um animal infectado, inalação de secreções respiratórias infectadas ou ingestão de carne contaminada. A confirmação é feita pela identificação de Pasteurella no indivíduo afetado. | |||
