Glioma grau I da OMS, de crescimento lento, que geralmente ocorre em adultos jovens. Origina-se quase exclusivamente na medula espinal, cauda equina, e filamento terminal da medula espinal. Geralmente tem prognóstico favorável e é caracterizado histologicamente por células tumorais dispostas de forma papilar ao redor de núcleos estromais mucoides vascularizados. (Adaptado da OMS).

A slow growing, WHO grade I glioma which generally occurs in young adults. It arises almost exclusively in the conus medullaris, cauda equina, and filum terminale of the spinal cord. It generally has a favorable prognosis and is characterised histologically by tumour cells arranged in a papillary manner around vascularized mucoid stromal cores. (Adapted from WHO).
