Mononeuropathy or generalised neuropathy can also be due to rare inflammatory entities as perineuritis, which is characterised by nerve thickening and inflammation, perineuromas, which can have both tumourous and inflammatory aspects, inflammatory peudotumours, as well as IgG 4 related neuropathies.
