O líquen plano bolhoso é uma variante do líquen plano raro caracterizado pelo desenvolvimento de lesões vesicobolhosas. A prevalência é desconhecida e apenas poucos casos, tanto esporádicos quanto familiares, foram descritos na literatura. A doença se manifesta durante a infância ou adolescência. Lesões bolhosas se desenvolvem em cima de pápulas de líquen plano preexistentes ou na pele normal e geralmente acometem os membros inferiores ou a mucosa do lábio inferior e, em alguns casos raros, o tronco. Nesta condição, o epitélio se separa da epiderme. No caso do líquen plano bolhoso oral, as vesículas e bolhas rompem logo após o seu aparecimento, o que resulta em erosões. A etiologia é desconhecida.

Bullous lichen planus is a variant of rare lichen planus characterised by the development of vesico-bullous lesions. Prevalence is unknown and only a few cases, both sporadic and familial, have been described in the literature. The disease manifests during childhood or adolescence. Bullous lesions develop on top of preexisting lichen planus papules or on normal skin and generally affect the lower limbs or the lower mucosal lip, and in some rare cases the torso. In this condition, the epithelium separates from the epidermis. In the case of oral bullous lichen planus, the vesicles and bullae burst soon after they appear which results in erosions. Etiology is unknown.
