generalised body myoclonus has been described to occur in isolation as an autoimmune phenomenon and may be mistaken for generalised tremor. Accompanying neural autoantibodies may be found (e.g. voltage gated potassium complex autoantibodies) but other causes of myoclonus need to be excluded (e.g. drug induced). Associated autoantibodies: DPPX (dipeptidyl-peptidase–like protein-6); VGKC (LGI1, CASPR2) (voltage gated potassium channel complex antibodies ).
