+Variante clínica da demência da doença de Alzheimer, que se apresenta com problemas predominantes de linguagem, caracterizada por comprometimento na evocação de palavras isoladas no discurso espontâneo e na nomeação, e comprometimento na repetição de frases. Erros fonológicos geralmente estão presentes, com preservação da compreensão de palavras isoladas e do conhecimento dos objetos. A memória episódica está proporcionalmente menos comprometida. Anormalidades à neuroimagem são observadas, especificamente atrofia parietal ou perisilviana posterior esquerda na ressonância magnética, associada a hipoperfusão ou hipometabolismo nestas mesmas áreas ao SPECT ou FDG-PET, respectivamente.
