Hipotireoidismo congênito idiopático é um tipo de hipotireoidismo congênito primário cuja causa é desconhecida. Manifestações clínicas são as mesmas de outras formas de hipotireoidismo congênito. Bócio está sempre ausente. Exame ultrassonográfico e cintilografia de tireoide mostram uma tireoide de forma e tamanho normais e na localização ectópica normal. Hipotireoidismo congênito idiopático pode ser diagnosticado após exclusão de causas conhecidas de hipotireoidismo congênito. | |||||||||||||||
