Dermatomiosite juvenil com miocardite é uma tanstorno inflamatório sistêmico de início precoce que afeta os músculos esqueléticos, a pele e o coração. O envolvimento cardíaco sintomático é incomum na doença aguda, mas até 50% dos pacientes com dermatomiosite terão envolvimento cardíaco assintomático em testes não invasivos. A detecção precoce da miocardite afeta significativamente a sobrevida, uma vez que as complicações cardíacas são a causa mais comum de morte. | |||||||||||||||

Juvenile dermatomyositis with myocarditis is an early-onset systemic inflammatory disorders affecting the skeletal muscles, the skin, and the heart. Symptomatic cardiac involvement is uncommon in acute disease, but up to 50% of dermatomyositis patients will have asymptomatic cardiac involvement on non-invasive testing.
