+Rosácea fulminante é caracterizada por um início abrupto de pápulas e pústulas inflamatórias, e nódulos flutuantes em uma base de edema e eritema faciais. Acomete tipicamente o nariz, a região malar, o mento, e as regiões temporal e frontal. Seborreia e rubor facial frequentemente precedem a rosácea fulminante. Os sintomas constitucionais são geralmente leves com febre baixa e/ou mialgia em apenas uma minoria de casos. A recorrência é rara, mas cicatrizes hipertróficas ou varioliformes podem permanecer. Sua etiologia e nosologia são discutidas. Formas mais leves deste transtorno foram denominadas rosácea conglobata.

Constitutional symptoms are usually mild with low grade fever and/or myalgia in only a minority of cases. Recurrence is rare but hypertrophic or varioliform scars may remain. Its aetiology and nosology are disputed. Milder forms of this disorder have been termed rosacea conglobata.
