As lesões começam como áreas distintas de eritema que se tornam elevadas e edematosas antes de se expandirem centrifugamente para formar placas anelares e circinadas. As pústulas aparecem nas bordas em avanço e deixam uma franja de escamas à medida que as placas aumentam.
