+A doença arterial obstrutiva ateromatosa crônica se manifesta como dor isquêmica provocada por exercício, mas aliviada por repouso. Os sintomas geralmente são mais proeminentes na panturrilha, mas a coxa ou as nádegas também podem ser afetadas. Se o suprimento arterial ficar ainda mais comprometido, a dor não diminui com o repouso, significando um risco de progressão para isquemia crítica.
