Síndrome dermatose-artrite associada ao intestino (BADAS) é um transtorno crônico recidivante caracterizado por episódios intermitentes de poliartralgia, sintomas semelhantes aos da gripe e erupção vasculítica pápulo-pustulosa. Está associada à cirurgia gastrointestinal, incluindo procedimentos de derivação intestinal e cirurgia bariátrica, mas também pode surgir em outras condições, como doença inflamatória intestinal ou diverticulose, nas quais pode ocorrer supercrescimento bacteriano anormal. Pensa-se que os anticorpos contra peptidoglicanos da parede celular bacteriana desempenham um papel importante. | |||||||||||||||

Bowel‐associated dermatosis–arthritis syndrome (BADAS) is a chronic relapsing disorder characterised by intermittent episodes of polyarthralgia, flu‐like symptoms and a papulopustular vasculitic rash. It is associated with gastrointestinal surgery, including bowel bypass procedures and bariatric surgery, but may also arise in other conditions such as inflammatory bowel disease or diverticulosis in which abnormal bacterial overgrowth may occur. It is thought that antibodies to bacterial cell wall peptidoglycans play an important role. | |||||||||||||||

Bowel‐associated dermatosis–arthritis syndrome (BADAS) is a chronic relapsing disorder characterised by intermittent episodes of polyarthralgia, flu‐like symptoms and a papulopustular vasculitic rash. It is associated with gastrointestinal surgery, including bowel bypass procedures and bariatric surgery, but may also arise in other conditions such as inflammatory bowel disease or diverticulosis in which abnormal bacterial overgrowth may occur.
