Os sintomas de anafilaxia secundária a transtornos dos mastócitos resultam da liberação excessiva do mediador dos mastócitos, especialmente histamina, e podem incluir prurido e rubor, dor abdominal, diarreia, dispneia, taquicardia ou hipotensão profunda. Isso ocorre tanto em crianças quanto em adultos, mas em adultos pode ocorrer mesmo sem lesões de urticária pigmentosa. Os níveis de triptase basal estão constantemente altos. Anafilaxia fatal foi descrita subsequente a picadas de himenópteros e no período pré-operatório.

Symptoms of anaphylaxis secondary to mast cell disorders result from excessive mast cell mediator release, especially histamine, and may include pruritus and flushing, abdominal pain, diarrhea, dyspnoea, tachycardia, or profound hypotension. It happens in both children and adults, but in adults it can occur even without urticaria pigmentosa lesions. Levels of basal tryptase are constantly high. Fatal anaphylaxis has been described following hymenoptera stings and in the preoperative period.
