Originalmente relatado em soldados como pé de trincheira durante a Primeira Guerra Mundial, agora é mais comumente visto em moradores de rua por causa da vida errante ou como resultado de conflito. As extremidades afetadas são inicialmente frias, dormentes, inchadas e sem pulso; isso é seguido por um período de intensa hiperemia e dor, que então dá lugar a um aumento da sudorese e da sensibilidade ao frio. | |||||||||||||||
