Anormalidades de desenvolvimento do sistema linfático que ocorrem em locais de conexão venoso-linfático, mais comumente na região posterior do pescoço, mas podem ser anteriores e se estender até o tórax. Frequentemente associada a anormalidades cariotípicas, várias síndromes de malformação e vários agentes teratogênicos. Quando diagnosticadas no pré-natal, o prognóstico geral é ruim. Frequently associated with karyotypic abnormalities, various malformation syndromes, and several teratogenic agents. When diagnosed prenatally, the overall prognosis is poor.
