Malformação cardiovascular congênita em que há dilatação de um ou mais seios de Valsalva._x000D_ _x000D_ Informações adicionais: o seio de Valsalva é definido como a porção da raiz aórtica entre o anel da raiz aórtica e a junção sinotubular. O aneurisma do seio de Valsalva mais comumente origina-se do seio direito, menos comumente do seio não coronariano e raramente do seio esquerdo (<5%). O aneurisma pode romper para uma câmara ou local adjacente (átrio direito, ventrículo direito, átrio esquerdo, ventrículo esquerdo, artéria pulmonar, pericárdio) e, neste caso, deve ser codificado especificamente ("aneurisma roto do seio aórtico de Valsalva"). Additional information: the sinus of Valsalva is defined as that portion of the aortic root between the aortic root annulus and the sinotubular junction. Sinus of Valsalva aneurysm most commonly originates from the right sinus, less commonly from the non-coronary sinus and rarely from the left sinus (<5%). The aneurysm may rupture into an adjacent chamber or site (right atrium, right ventricle, left atrium, left ventricle, pulmonary artery, pericardium) and in this case should be coded specifically (‘Ruptured aortic sinus of Valsalva aneurysm’). This is to be distinguished from aortic root dilation associated with connective tissue disorders and aortopathies. | |||||||||||||||

A congenital cardiovascular malformation in which there is dilation of one or more sinuses of Valsalva. Additional information: the sinus of Valsalva is defined as that portion of the aortic root between the aortic root annulus and the sinotubular junction. Sinus of Valsalva aneurysm most commonly originates from the right sinus, less commonly from the non-coronary sinus and rarely from the left sinus (<5%).
