Afecção do trato urinário que afeta recém-nascidos, comumente causada por uma infecção de uma fonte bacteriana. Esta condição é caracterizada por febre, piúria, icterícia, falta de apetite, diarreia, fezes tingidas de sangue, vômitos ou distensão abdominal. Essa afecção também pode ser assintomática. A transmissão é por transmissão vertical. A confirmação é feita pela identificação do agente infeccioso em uma amostra de urina.

This condition is characterised by fever, pyuria, jaundice, poor appetite, diarrhoea, blood tinged stool, vomiting, or abdominal distention. This condition may also be asymptomatic. Transmission is by vertical transmission. Confirmation is by identification of the infectious agent in a urine sample.
