Uma afecção da bexiga, causada por obstrução congênita ou adquirida da saída da bexiga, por disfunção da bexiga após lesão do nervo ou por cirurgia prévia da bexiga. Esta afecção é caracterizada por protrusões em forma de balão no revestimento da bexiga, levando a uma área de fraqueza na parede da bexiga. Essa afecção pode ser assintomática ou se apresentar com infecções vesicais recorrentes, dificuldade para urinar ou plenitude abdominal.
