Dermatite inflamatória pruriginosa afetando pernas e tornozelos de indivíduos com hipertensão venosa de membros inferiores. Pode se tornar agudamente exsudativa, quando se deve considerar a possibilidade de sobreposição de dermatite alérgica de contato. O tratamento da hipertensão venosa associada é uma parte importante da abordagem. O eczema venoso não está necessariamente associado à presença de veias varicosas nas pernas.

It may become acutely exudative, when the possibility of superimposed allergic contact dermatitis should be considered. Treatment of the associated venous hypertension is an important part of management. Venous eczema is not necessarily associated with the presence of varicose leg veins.
