A síndrome de Sweet (epônimo para dermatose neutrofílica febril aguda) é caracterizada por uma constelação de sintomas clínicos, manifestações físicas e achados patológicos que incluem febre, neutrofilia, lesões cutâneas eritematosas sensíveis (pápulas, nódulos e placas) e um infiltrado difuso consistindo predominantemente de neutrófilos maduros que estão tipicamente localizados na derme superior. A síndrome de Sweet se apresenta em três configurações clínicas: clássica (ou idiopática), associada a malignidade e induzida por drogas. | |||||||||||||||

Sweet syndrome (the eponym for acute febrile neutrophilic dermatosis) is characterised by a constellation of clinical symptoms, physical features, and pathological findings which include fever, neutrophilia, tender erythematous skin lesions (papules, nodules, and plaques), and a diffuse infiltrate consisting predominantly of mature neutrophils that are typically located in the upper dermis.
