Cisto triquilemal (pilar) é um cisto comum, tipicamente indolor, intradérmico ou subcutâneo. Os cistos são tipicamente confinados ao couro cabeludo e muitas vezes são múltiplos. Geralmente ocorrem esporadicamente, mas podem ser herdados de forma autossômica dominante. Eles são derivados da bainha radicular externa do folículo piloso e, como tal, contêm queratina ou produtos de degradação de queratina. They usually occur sporadically but may be inherited in an autosomal dominant manner.
