A forma mais comum de psoríase, se manifesta como placas eritêmato-descamativas bem delimitadas na pele. Os locais típicos de envolvimento inicial são o couro cabeludo, as superfícies extensoras dos cotovelos e joelhos, a região lombar e a região pré-tibial. Na doença grave, a maior parte da superfície da pele pode estar envolvida.
