A úlcera anastomótica se desenvolve subsequente a ressecção gástrica ou outros procedimentos, como gastroenterostomia, que envolve a anastomose do estômago com alguma outra porção do trato gastrointestinal. Nesses casos, desenvolve-se uma úlcera perto do estoma; é quase invariavelmente no ramo eferente do intestino, não no estômago.

In such cases an ulcer develops near the stoma; it is almost invariably in the efferent limb of the intestine, not in the stomach.

Anastomotic ulcer develops following gastric resection or other procedures, such as gastroenterostomy, that involve the anastomosis of the stomach to some other portion of the gastrointestinal tract. In such cases an ulcer develops near the stoma; it is almost invariably in the efferent limb of the intestine, not in the stomach.
