É caracterizada por uma responsividade aumentada de traqueia e brônquios a vários estímulos e se manifesta por um estreitamento difuso das vias aéreas que altera em gravidade tanto espontaneamente quanto como resultado de tratamento. It is characterised by an increased responsiveness of the trachea and bronchi to various stimuli and manifested by a widespread narrowing of the airways that change in severity either spontaneously or as a result of therapy.
