Essa doença é caracterizada por febre alta, calafrios, falta de ar, batimento cardíaco rápido ou irregular, tosse com sangue, dor abdominal ou septicemia. Essa doença comumente se apresenta com envolvimento valvar. A confirmação é feita por ecocardiografia.
