Síndrome de Benson ou atrofia cortical posterior (ACP) refere-se à síndrome clínica em que há uma ruptura do processamento visual de ordem superior devida a transtorno neurodegenerativo. Os pacientes apresentam agnosia visual progressiva e grave (inabilidade de reconhecer e identificar objetos familiares ou pessoas) e apraxia (perda da habilidade de executar ou realizar movimentos familiares qualificados).
