Delirium induzido por estimulantes, incluindo anfetaminas, metanfetamina e metcatinona mas excluindo cafeína, cocaína e catinonas sintéticas, é caracterizado por um estado agudo de perturbação da atenção e consciência com características específicas de delirium, que se desenvolve durante ou logo após intoxicação ou abstinência pela substância ou durante o uso de estimulantes. A quantidade e a duração do uso do estimulante devem ser capazes de produzir delirium. Os sintomas não são mais bem explicados por um transtorno mental primário ou pelo uso ou abstinência de uma substância diferente, ou por outra condição de saúde que não esteja classificada como transtornos mentais, comportamentais e do neurodesenvolvimento.

Stimulant-induced delirium including amphetamines, methamphetamine and methcathinone but excluding caffeine, cocaine and synthetic cathinones is characterised by an acute state of disturbed attention and awareness with specific features of delirium that develops during or soon after substance intoxication or withdrawal or during the use of stimulants. The amount and duration of stimulant use must be capable of producing delirium. The symptoms are not better explained by a primary mental disorder, by use of or withdrawal from a different substance, or by another health condition that is not classified under Mental, behavioural and neurodevelopmental disorders.
