Os xantomas planos (planares) são xantomas cutâneos planos e contrastam com os xantomas eruptivos e tuberosos que se apresentam como pápulas e nódulos. Frequentemente são completamente maculares, mas podem evoluir para placas elevadas. O tipo mais comum é o xantelasma da pálpebra, mas também inclui o xantoma palmar e uma forma disseminada menos comum, o xantoma plano difuso, que pode ser mimetizado por um distúrbio clinicamente semelhante que está associado à paraproteinemia, xantomastose plana difusa normolipidêmico. | |||||||||||||||
