Adenocarcinoma originando-se do epitélio cervical. É responsável por aproximadamente 15% dos carcinomas cervicais invasivos. Númeroa altos de parceiros sexuais e infecção pelo papilomavírus humano (HPV) são fatores de risco. Grosseiramente, o adenocarcinoma cervical avançado pode se apresentar como uma massa exofítica, uma lesão ulcerada ou aumento cervical difuso. Microscopicamente, a maioria dos adenocarcinomas cervicais são do tipo endocervical (mucinoso).

An adenocarcinoma arising from the cervical epithelium. It accounts for approximately 15% of invasive cervical carcinomas. Increased numbers of sexual partners and human papillomavirus (HPV) infection are risk factors. Grossly, advanced cervical adenocarcinoma may present as an exophytic mass, an ulcerated lesion, or diffuse cervical enlargement. Microscopically, the majority of cervical adenocarcinomas are of the endocervical (mucinous) type.
