Doença causada por uma infecção pelo verme parasita Fasciolopsis buski. Esta doença é caracterizada por dor abdominal ou diarreia, ou pode ser assintomática. Também pode se manifestar com edema de face, abdômen ou pernas, vômitos, anorexia ou obstrução intestinal. A transmissão ocorre pela ingestão de plantas aquáticas contaminadas mal cozidas. A confirmação é feita pela identificação de ovos de Fasciolopsis buski em uma amostra de fezes. | |||||||||||||||

This disease may also present with oedema of the face, abdomen, or legs, vomiting, anorexia, or intestinal obstruction. Transmission is by ingestion of undercooked contaminated aquatic plants.
