+Doença causada por uma infecção pelo verme parasita Paragonimus. Esta doença é caracterizada por tosse ou hemoptise, ou pode ser assintomática. Também pode se apresentar com outros sintomas, a depender da localização para onde o parasita migra. A transmissão ocorre comumente pela ingestão de crustáceos (caranguejo ou lagostim) contaminados mal cozidos. A confirmação é comumente pela identificação de ovos de Paragonimus em escarro ou em amostra de fezes.
