The most common clinical presentation is disseminated infection, which is associated with underlying disease, especially haematological malignancy, or with organ transplantation, especially of the lung. An opportunistic infection caused by fungal species of the genus Scedosporium. The most common clinical presentation is disseminated infection, which is associated with underlying disease, especially haematological malignancy, or with organ transplantation, especially of the lung. Infections of lung, bones or joints are also well recognised.
