Doença do cérebro, causada por uma infecção pelo vírus Rocio. Na primeira fase, essa doença é caracterizada por febre, dor de cabeça, vômito ou conjuntivite; na segunda fase, essa doença é caracterizada por sintomas neurológicos e fraqueza muscular. A transmissão ocorre através da picada de um mosquito infectado. A confirmação é feita pela identificação do vírus Rocio em uma amostra de soro ou líquido cefalorraquidiano. | |||||||||||||||
