É a variante histológica mais frequente do astrocitoma difuso. É predominantemente composto por astrócitos neoplásicos fibrilares. Atipia nuclear é um critério diagnóstico, mas atividade mitótica, necrose e proliferação microvascular estão ausentes. The most frequent histological variant of diffuse astrocytoma. It is predominantly composed of fibrillary neoplastic astrocytes. Nuclear atypia is a diagnostic criterion but mitotic activity, necrosis and microvascular proliferation are absent.
