Iododerma é uma reação cutânea rara ao iodeto administrado sistemicamente. Anteriormente era visto principalmente como uma erupção crônica por exposição prolongada a medicamentos contendo iodeto, como medicamentos para tosse. Mais recentemente, tem sido associada a uma erupção mais aguda subsequente a administração de meios de radiocontraste contendo iodeto. Caracteriza-se por nódulos e placas acneiformes vegetantes que acometem tipicamente face, pescoço, antebraços e flexuras. | |||||||||||||||

Iododerma is a rare cutaneous reaction to systemically administered iodine. Formerly it was seen principally as a chronic eruption from prolonged exposure to iodide-containing medications such as cough medicines. More recently it has been associated with a more acute eruption following administration of iodide-containing radiocontrast media. It is characterised by vegetating acneform nodules and plaques typically affecting the face, neck, forearms and flexures. | |||||||||||||||
