Congenital infiltrating lipomatosis of the face is a rare condition in which there is diffuse infiltration of the subcutaneous tissues and muscles of the face by non-encapsulated mature adipose tissue. It is manifested as tumour-like swellings in infancy or early childhood. Osseous hyperplasia of subjacent bone is also seen. There is a high recurrence rate after attempted surgical removal.
