A miopatia distal com fraqueza faríngea e das cordas vocais pertence ao grupo heterogêneo das miopatias distais com idade de início após os 35 anos. Os sinais clínicos incluem fraqueza distal, frequentemente assimétrica, dos membros inferiores e dos músculos extensores dos dedos. A fraqueza do músculo deltóide é encontrada em 1/4 dos pacientes. A fraqueza faríngea e das cordas vocais causam uma voz anasalada e distúrbios de deglutição estão presentes no momento do exame ou aparecem posteriormente. | |||||||||||||||
