A dengue é uma doença viral transmitida pela picada de um mosquito infectado por vírus da dengue. É uma entidade patológica com diferentes apresentações clínicas e frequentemente com evolução e desfechos clínicos imprevisíveis. A maioria dos pacientes se recupera após um curso clínico autolimitado não grave, com náuseas, vômitos, erupção cutânea e dores, mas uma pequena proporção progride para doença grave, caracterizada principalmente por extravazamento de plasma com ou sem hemorragia, embora hemorragias graves ou comprometimento grave de órgãos possam ocorrer, com ou sem choque da dengue. | |||||||||||||||
