Embora a infecção por dermatófitos (tinha ou micose) possa produzir esse padrão, muitos outros transtornos de pele podem ter uma configuração discoide ou anular e, frequentemente, são diagnosticados erroneamente como tinha. Although infection due to dermatophyte infection (tinea or ringworm) can produce this pattern, many other skin disorders may have a discoid or annular configuration: these are frequently misdiagnosed as tinea.
