Níveis elevados de tirosina no sangue, clinicamente assintomático, causado por maturação fetal tardia da 4-hidroxifenilpiruvato dioxigenase, geralmente detectado no exame de rastreamento neonatal. Mais comumente observada em bebês prematuros recebendo fórmulas lácteas com alto teor de proteína. Geralmente considerado benigno, ocorre remissão por volta das 4-6 semanas de vida.

Most commonly seen in premature infants receiving milk formulae with high protein content. Generally considered benign and resolves by 4-6 weeks of age.
