Parto precipitado é aquele com menos de 3 horas e onde as contrações são excepcionalmente graves. Geralmente ocorre em mulheres multíparas ou quando o trabalho de parto foi induzido. Devido à força e velocidade do parto, pode ocorrer traumatismo para a mãe e o recém-nascido. A mãe pode sofrer de hemorragia, laceração perineal, infecção ou ruptura uterina, e o recém-nascido pode sofrer de hematoma subdural, anoxia ou fraturas. | |||||||||||||||

Due to the force and speed of delivery, trauma may occur to the mother and newborn.
