A ictiose adquirida assemelha-se à ictiose vulgar autossômica dominante, mas se desenvolve na vida adulta em indivíduos sem história prévia de ictiose. Pode ser causada por determinados medicamentos, mas quando associada a malignidade subjacente (ou seja, paraneoplásica) está fortemente associada ao linfoma de Hodgkin e pode ser o sinal de apresentação desta doença. Pode estar menos comumente associada a outras neoplasias linfoides ou tumores sólidos. | |||||||||||||||

It may be caused by certain drugs but when associated with underlying malignancy (i.e. paraneoplastic) it is strongly associated with Hodgkin lymphoma and may be the presenting sign of that disease.
